Recurring cysts on both of my ovariesFrom: Catherine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Nov 30 19:44:09 2006
Hello, I'm deeply troubled by my most recent diagnosis with multiple cysts on both of my ovaries. I had a lap surgery done on my right ovary in which a 4x5cm chocolate cyst was removed on 9/2/06. Then 1 month later 3 cysts appeared, two are on my right ovary and I have one on the left. I'm not thrilled with the idea of having more surgery, but at the same time what other choice do I have? I'm not keen on the idea of surgery, but shouldn't it be the last resort? My last ultrasound showed some minimal growth, but do the cysts get larger with each menstrual cycle? Also do I have to have a hysterectomy to make the pain stop? Both my husband and I want children but at the expense of my health is it worth the risk? Sincerely,
-- Catherine
