Re: Adhesions/Endo/treatment questions

I had my adhesions removed during a lap in October. However they are back. I still have some pain though not nearly as bad as before. Before the pain was excruciating. Before I had the lap, I wanted to do continuous bcp because I figured it would be better than nothing. But my ob wanted to get my periods regular first. After surgery, he ditched that idea and I now take Loestrin FE continuously and prometrium. Basically he has shut down the mentsrual cycle. The nruse asked me if I was supposed to break every three months. I was like oh no. He doesn't want me to break at all. She said what if you breakthrough. I said, then he wants me to start prometrium right away to stop it. So I must be one of the few that he does not want bleeding at all. He made it very clear to him that I was to have no periods and added the prometrium as a an extra kick. Before the lap, I had pain at two times of every month ovulation and periods. The pill is supposed to shut down ovulation. He said it was the tugging during ovulation and periods, plus the uterus contracts during that time, pulled on the adhesions and caused the pain.

I am curious about what will happen when I stop the Loestrin and prometrium to try and get pregnant. That is a question that I have written down for when I see him in Feb. I imagine my pain will be back as it was before. Right now the continuous Loestrin is working for me.

I wouldn't do Lupron unless I absolutely had no choice.
