I have been suffering w/ Endometriosis for about 6 or 7 years now...fortunately i have two children, and after my second child, i had my tubes tied because my last pregnancy was so pain filled, it was almost unbearable. Anyway...I tried Depo Provera for the first time a few months ago, and after about 3 weeks, the pain started to go away. I was amazed...however, not two weeks after the pain diminished a little, i started bleeding. Ok, so it is now 7 weeks later and i am still bleeding. I thought you weren't supposed to get your period at all w/ the shot. Anyway...as most of you know, most of my pain is associated w/ bleeding, so i have decided not to get another shot of depo provera. So...where to go from here? I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome and my right ovary has always been a problem (painful) for me. I am seriously contemplating removing that ovary to see if it helps...my doctor does not want to do a full hysterectomy b/c i am only 30 years old. The pain is so bad lately that i am constantly on narcotic pain med, and it is starting to not really help as much anymore. I just want the pain to go away...as everyone else does. Any suggestions???
