Re: Lupron w/o confirmed diagnosis

In about 50% of women Lupron does nothing to relieve their pain, and even if it works you can only take two 6-month courses of the drug in your lifetime. It will put you into chemical menopause, and it can cause depression, bone loss, joint pain/fibromyalgia, memory problems, etc. AND when you are done you still won't have a diagnosis, AND if the pain comes back you'll be right where you are - but maybe with a few lasting side effects, and you won't be able to take any more Lupron.

Lupron was first used as a chemotherapy drug for men with prostate cancer. It is chemotherapy. Did your doctor tell you that? It might not even stop your periods!

I hope you will do some research on Lupron, and consider getting a new doctor. Your symptoms sound a bit like endo of the diaphragm, so you may want to research that, too.

Good luck!
