I am trying Lupron for the second time. I had two injections a year ago but quit it because I was having terrible mood swings. I just recently decided to give it another try and have had my first injection 3 weeks ago. I began bleeding days after I had my first shot and had terrible cramping like having a really bad period. My doctor put me on Norethindrone for 15 days and after taking that for about 3 days I stopped bleeding for about a week. Now with only about 4 of those pills left I have started bleeding again and am getting some cramping which feels like having a period. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow to see what he wants me to do since I don't have another shot for about a week and a half. I don't understand why I am having breakthrough bleeding while on Lupron. What causes this? Does this mean that the Lupron is not working properly? I've also had problems with breakthrough bleeding with about every drug I've tried as well as bleeding occasionally while on continuous birth control pills. Can anyone offer me any answers or advice?
