I was having what felt like UTIs, but in fact after going to the GYN, I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, a disease of the bladder where the lining of the bladder becomes damaged and anything you ingest that is acidic or high in potassium causes pain, bladder spasms, frequent urination and/or pain with urination, etc. I've read that people with auto immune disorders such as fibromyalgia (which I have) and endo (which I also have) can have this as well. It often flares up with your menstrual cycle. IC is not an infection, however, but a chronic disease. So a urinalysis will not show any bacterial infection. Also, most people think that drinking cranberry juice will help get rid of it, but that will only flare your symptoms. You may want to ask your GYN to check you for this as well, because after much research, I've found that a lot of people with endo have this as well.
