Re: Endo painFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Nov 17 09:05:42 2006
Lacy, Welcome to the forum! You will find lots of great info here and a lot of support. I take birth control so I can't comment on my cycle getting longer or not due to endo, but I wanted to respond so you know you are at least in the right place to find some answers. How much pain is too much is a good question! Guess it is up to you and how much you can tolerate. I was diagnsoed with endo 12 years ago and have found that my pain tolerance is now very high from dealing with it so many years. When you had your lap did the doc burn off as much scar tissue adhesions as they could? This usually helps the pain for awhile. It may be too, that your body is still somewhat recovering, even if lap was in June. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor if you are still feeling really bad and having high panel levels. I don't tolerate prescription pain meds too well, so I try to just get by with anti-inflammatories over the counter and the heating pad. Hang in there! Everyone on this forum can relate to having endo so you came to the right place! Hugs! Amy Meyer
