Re: Bleeding after Sex.....endo.....

Hi Tiffany. I experience bleeding after sex too, although not all the time. Seems to depend on what position we had sex in and how "intense" it was. Harder sex and certain positions seem to aggravate my endo, causing the adhesions to bleed. I have experienced this off and on for years (diagnosed with endo 12 years ago) so I don't think anything of it anymore. My doctor has never seemed concerned so I don't worry anymore. In fact, I usually bleed when I go in for a PAP! I also bleed sometimes if I sit or lay in the wrong position too (I can't sit like a "proper lady" with my legs crossed for long or I will bleed), again I guess the position pulls on some of my endo adhesions or causes some other aggravation. I don't think what you are experiencing is anything to really worry about-it's common with endo but is still scary none-the-less. Just keep your doctor in the loop and keep an eye on things to be sure it doesn't get worse. Feel free to email me privately if you want.

Hugs! Amy Meyer
