You need to either insist on a lap or find a new dr that will listen to you. Pain and bleeding with intercourse is NOT normal. I had 4 laps and it was generally about 3 years in between each one. Some women experience pain relief for up to 5 years after a lap, but for some, it can be one year. Everyone is different, especially it depends on what stage you are at and how severe the extent of the endo and pain were before your lap. Your dr sounds like he is in denial about your pain and bleeding. Some drs have a god complex and think that you should have at least 5 years of being pain free. I wish you the best in your decision. Sincerely, Cohl
