Emily, It is awefully nerve wracking after having such painful experiences to test that out again. And the idea of doing something invasive to your body after having surgery is frightening. My husband and I gave it a try about two weeks after surgery. We took it slow, easy on the "depth", and lots of lubricant. But don't try until your really ready. Otherwise you might just be so tense as to be uncomfortable through it. Alyson
