Re: What is the problem?

I wish I could say that I haven't had the same doctor experience. My situation is a bit different in the sense that I have not had the hysterectomy, but I have been bounced from doctor to doctor. I've been to almost every OBGyn group in my area, took me five doctors to get diagnosed with endo. Since then I have seen the gastro enterologist, cardiologist, physical therapist, internist...had countless tests. No one can tell me why I have this recurring chest pain, why I don't seem to respond to any endo treatments on and on. It feels like an awful game sometimes, but we have to find a way to trudge on through because there is an answer...you just have to find that doctor who has the patience to talk it through with you and who will take the time to listen. I recently started seeing a new Gyn who is a traditional/naturopathic doctor. She has by far been the most willing to listen and to be honest enough to tell me that she (and she doesn't think anyone esle in my area) does not have the skill level to deal with my endo at this point and that I need to seek a specialist. Try talking to some friends about doctors they respect. There is also a site called EndoVictims (you can google it) that has a patient recommended doctor list categorized by state. Alyson
