Re: appetite gone/hair lossFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Nov 2 22:51:16 2006
Hi Ainslie Others are better to answer your lupron Q's. But hair loss can be a symptom of anemia. Are you feeling very tired/weak? If you are not eating properly, your iron levels will get too low. Blood loss from surgery/periods can be the oritinal anemia causing factor or just simply poor diet. This can be successfully treated with iron tablets/injections once diagnosed by a simple blood test. Once your bodies iron levels drop below a critical point - it is very difficult for the body to get back to normal iron levels. Thats where iron tablets help. When I have anemia, I loose my apetite too. So its a vicious circle, blood loss/poor apetite causes poor iron levels causes anemia causes worse apetite. Hope this helps Angela
