I started it when I was 14 years old. At that time, I was not having any problem assicated with my period or anything. I actually stopped having a period for the whole time I was on the Provera. After about 4 years my Dr said that some new studies had came out about woman being on the Provera for so long would not be able to have children so she took me off and put me on bcp. I did however gain a huge amount of weight, a little over a hundred pounds. Which was a side effect to the Provera that I was not told about. I was seeing the Dr at my local health dept. and at that time Provera was not that old. With your case, I think if it were me I would speak to the doctor about it. If that had happen to me it would scare me, and my husband probably would have pass-out. It is not good to lose a lot of blood, especially if you have a rare blood time. I am not sure where you are from and what your relationship is with your gyn but I would talk to him/her and just explain that you did not know if it was normally or not. If I had to guess I would say not normally, but that is just an opinion. I hope everything works out in the end and you start to feel better. Good luck. If you don't mind post a forum and let me know how it works out and what you decide to do.
