Bleeding after a lap?

Ok, I am beginning to suspect that this is NOT normal. I have been in to see my dr twice and told him both times I was still bleeding. Lap was Oct. 9th. I had medium bleeding for a day or two then light, then heavy, then medium, light, spotting, then it stopped for about three days. Then last Thursday it went heavy, then light. Then yesterday was heavy and today is heavy. I am about at my wits end with this. I saw my dr on the 17th because I had a uterine infection post op. He said some women bleed heavier and longer than other women. Plus I had a uterine infection that also causes that. He said it should stop within a week. It did. Now it has reared it's ugle head right back up. So since the 9th, I have only had three days of no bleeding. This sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw my dr on Friday and he said that the surgery was a major shock to my system. He went through the pelvic cavity 5 times. He said that kind of shock can screw up my cycles. However, I am on continuous Loestrin which was the first bcp that worked for no bleeding for me. So he told me I could go ahead and start the Prometrium to stop the bleeding. However it has just gotten heavier since Friday night when I started that. Now I am passing quarter sized clots. There should not be any build up of lining if I was going continuous on the pill since August right? This all started right after the lap. Is this normal? Did anyone else bleed this long?

I may have an underlying clotting disorder where my blood doesn't clot fast enough. However, my dr checked that before surgery and it was ok. I do tend to bleed more and heavier after procedures. Ex. After my daughter was born, I had an emergency d&c where everything was scraped out of the uterus and STILL bled for 6 weeks afterward. This is starting to be annoying,, irritating, and wierding me out. So if you can let me know your experiences, I would appreciate it.
