Lisa,

I was put on Megace for about one month, a year ago. I actually remember feeling slight improvements in my pelvic pain during that time. However I also began having side effects such as pain in my rectum and with bowel movements. I began having shooting pains in my rectum and it got to the point where it constantly hurt to be in a sitting position. I shared this with my doctor and after he reviewed the side effects sure enough he believed it to be due to the Megace. He took me off of it and all of those symptoms left me. As I am sure you are aware everyone reacts to medicines differently but I have not met many who have tried Megace. If you decide to try the drug please be aware of these side effects and monitor yourself closely! Best wishes..
