Appt update

It went good. I am still having light bleeding 8 days postop. My dr said that some women bleed heavier and longer than others. I asked him how much longer and he said it shouldn't be more than a week. I was like a WEEK more? He said well I don't want to tell you tomorrow and then you get worried. He said that the uterus and cervix get pretty traumatized during the surgery and take a while to heal.

The belly button looks much better today. Continue to clean it with soap and water and peroxide. He said I could also put a little neosporin on it. Keep it covered with a bandaid.

The pain on the right is gone and I broke into a new pack of pills on Saturday (continuous). I usually have pain starting day 21 of the 24 pack. I didn't have that pain this time. He said it was probably caused by the pulling and tugging of the adhesions. Hopefully it will stay gone. But it could reform. We'll keep an eye on it.

Keep taking the antibiotics for the uterine infection till gone. Fever is gone too.

I have pain in the lower center still. Not too bad. I think it is from lifting my 15 month old too much too soon. He said that he really looked through the whole area and it just needed some time to heal. It should go away.

He said to keep the original post op appt to check to make sure the bleeding is gone, infection is gone, check the incisions, and to go over the surgery.

So hopefully I won't have to be calling his office every month anymore. I am so excited. I like my dr. But I hate seeing them all of the time for problems! I would like to be in for something NORMAL.
