I am so sorry to hear this. This certainly looks like an infection.So
as far as I know foul smelling discharge indicates infection without
doubt. I understand ..it would be really bad if they operate again..and
it is so ridiculous that you cannot reach them on monday!! they can make
exceptions!!! to their schedules. When you have an infection every 12
hours makes a difference...I am hoping your infection is resolved with
antibiotics and you dont have to go for another surgery
If your temp. or discomfort increases then go to ER and have them call
your doctor..again this is frustating to suffer and then not be able to
get to the doc.
hope you get better soon. I think you can remove the dressing and clean
it with wound wash saline and then use first aid sterile coverings
Wish you lots of luck...you will be over it
