So I called back and talked with the same nurse. Told her the dressing/wound smells like someone died and that there is a lot of oozing. She said to go ahead and take the dressing off. She said I should have taken it off at 2-3 days postop and she was really surprised that the ER dr didn't take it off. I told her that the nurse at the hospital said that I wsa to take the dressing off when it got ratty. That didn't happen till yesterday. She then said to take it off, clean it with soap & water in the shower and peroxide after the shower and put a bandaid on it to prevent oozing from staining my clothes. This can't be normal for 8 days post op can it???The actual puncture mark is red and oozing. It itches. Even after cleaning it with a qtip with peroxide, it stills smells like someone died. Oh well, 10:45 is my appt tomorrow. I am sure I won't keel over before then.

She said well he doesn't do office hours on Monday so >I'll give you an appt tomorrow at 10:45. But I just realized after
