Re: THRYOID AND ENDOFrom: Jessica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Oct 16 00:32:54 2006
Do you have a swollen thyroid? My mom had blood tests for her thyroid and they all came back normal then about 3 months later she went back and had a swollen thyroid so her dr. did more tests. I guess my mom says your Dr. wont give you a refferal to an endocronologist untill you have abnormal blood results. She also said if you dont have swollen thyroid that you'd be better off going to an internest who can test you for a range of diff things. You do not need a refferal to set up an appt with an internest. I got a name and number of one from my nurse. If nothing comes up just keep nagging you Dr. I know how frusterating it is to know somethings wrong and your Dr. jsut rides you off. Be pesty, and if they do not take you seriously then find a Dr. who will. We know our bodies better than anyone else. Trust you instincts. Jessica
