Re: Anyone get a uterine infection with your lap? From: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Oct 15 12:33:00 2006
Sabrina, That sounds like something is going on. I had a fever of 100 running for 2-3 days on motrin but my doctor said it is OK unless the pain in the area of surgery increases or any swelling and redness develops and increases or any foul smelling discharge from the incision which indicates an infection. My fever went away in a day or two and so did the swelling. I did not have to take any antibiotics after surgery. There was also some bleeding(very little) for a day or two which my doc said was normal unless there is foul smelling discharge. But blood in urine sound like an infection in the bladder and is definitely not normal. Did you ask your doctor about that? you should not be afraid of calling your doctor any no. of times if things are not right. If there is any infection in the pelvic cavity you should not risk waiting as it can grow really fast. I hope that is not the case with you. I hope your uterine cultures come back normal. It is not looking like uterine infection but you never know. Did they also do a hysteroscopy with the lap? sorry could not help much good luck to you
