Re: no period after lupron treatment complete

Hi Alpha,

I have all the symptoms of endo, and the doctors have been suspecting it for about 10 years, but I have only been in chronic pain for 1 year now. In that time I have found every door towards a laparoscopy closed to me. For some reason nobody wants to do it. I am in the pain management, doing everything I can, from acupuncture to hypnosis, I'm on heavy opioids to curb the never-ending horrific pain I'm in (plus have to work in pain), but sometimes that doesn't help.

Now, Lupron was given to me as a diagnostic tool. My doctor referred me to a specialist 2 hrs away from here, and said that "she would like it if we tried this before visiting her". Lupron didn't work for my pain AT ALL, but it did give me all the horrible side-effects while I was on it, but the worst came after it started leaving my system, after 3 months wore off. I now have permanently arthritic hands, can't even open a bottle of medicine for myself. I also have bone and joint pain every day, and sometimes can barely walk. I am afraid to go and get tested for osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and all that, because I could not handle if the told me I have those things.

So the bottom line is, I have no idea what stage of endo I'm in, cuz nobody wants to do this damn surgery. They are inventing diagnosis like "myofascial pain syndrome", "referred pain", and "chronic pelvic pain", just to milk as much money out of my insurance, while I'm BEGGING THEM TO DO A LAP!! And still they won't. I'm desolate.

I could go on and on...but enough for now.

Thanks for your help and I hope we'll chat more.

Inny.
