I'm in the same dilemna as you. My DR wanted to do a lap last spring when I had a uterine polyp removed and an endomtrial ablation. I opted to wait in hopes that it would make my pain better. Well it didn't-it has gotten worse. My DR's suggestions in June were try Lupron or physical therapy. I tried PT for several months and no improvement at all. I went back to the DR and we agreed to do the lap. My pain used to be only at ovulation and before/during periods but is almost every day now and is affecting al aspects of my life. I have extreme left sided pain.(the ultrasounds showed no abnormalities with my ovary)I was told in my twenties I had IBS by a male physician. I only have issues with my cycle. I have UT 'irritations' frequently but no infections. I am having my lap on Tuesday and hope to find some answers finally. I am anxious too about what they might find or don't find. (ironically, this summer I sent for my old medical records and two times it was written that endometriosis was a probable cause-but never mentioned to me once! There was also a referral letter for an endo. specialist-that I never saw) That's where I am now.
