Hello! I experienced Lupron. It will put you through what they call a mock menopause. The side effects are everything a woman would experience with menopause. Yes it did stop my periods, however I had extreme hot flashes. Then when my periods came back after taking the Lupron. There was no change. I also took Depro-Provera (birthcontrol) it did stop my periods. But caused me to have extremem acne.
