Abnormal Vaginal bleeding for 11 weeks, Dr. thinks Lupron is next stepFrom: Mindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 26 18:00:16 2006
I was diagnosed with Endo in April of 2004, in July of 2004 I had excision surgery with a very well known surgeon in Milwaukee. I got pregnant a few months later and delivered my 2nd child in July of '05. About 7 months post delivery of my baby I had horrific left sided pain and was vomiting. As it turns out I had gallstones and during that surgery to remove my gallbladder I was found to of had my Uterus adhesed to my Round Ligament. I went on the mini pill following that Surgery for bc. I did notice that as I kept getting minor spotting and irregular periods that it felt like my endo was coming back. I was getting the familiar pain again. Well after having a period for 6 weeks recently my dr. put me on Ovcon 35 to stop it. That didn't work despite taking up to 3 a day. I was then given several tests. I even ended up having to have a D&C with biopsy of my uterus because she says she felt something during one of my pelvic exams. The biopsies came back not recognizing what it was that she took out of me. She then changed my bcp to Yazmin. Well here it is 11 weeks and still bleeding. She says she can't explain why it is, but that I should do the Lupron because it will give me relief of this for 6 months. I am petrified to do this. Surely there is a reason for my bleeding. Will Lupron really help this??!??
