Hi Rhonda just ran across your email. I have had horrible bowel and endo issues since the birth of my daughter in 2003. I had my left ovary removed when she was 6 weeks old due to a cyst. I unlike you have chronic consitpation. I can go days or even weeks without a bowel movement. And even then I don't go without taking something to help me. I had a horrible gastro dr who happend to be the brother-in-law of my gyn dr. She on the other hand is great. He basically brushed me off after doing a colonoscopy by saying I just have a sluggish system. And that he had never heard of this problem suddenly arising after child birth. My gyn dr pretty much dances around it when I ask her if could be caused by my endo. Things got so bad with the middle back pain and under the rib cage just above my belly button that I finally went to my primary care dr. I thought maybe I had a hernia. He stated that he thought it could be endo in the bowel. But couldn't confirm since he has never done surgery on me to see. My gyn has done 1 laperotomy (cut from hip to hip) and 1 laperoscopy. He was able to give me an all natural substance that he sells at his office it is called Roex WOW. This may not work for you since you have the oppisite problem. But I have previously been on Zelnorm which is for IBS and more recently on a new med called Amitiza. I would suggest maybe seeing you primary care and see if he or she can refer you to gastro dr or gyn maybe can refer you. I hate to her that about you son. This also hit home with me as I just surgery on my sinus and deviated septom and I am having my tonsils removed on Wed. I am 26 so I am preparing for the worst although the sinus thing was very painful. I hope only the best for you and your family. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Sara
