Adoption

I'd love some advice...

i had my first lap a month ago and they found stage IV endo, plus a bunch of other problems. i love my doc - he's a terrific specialist on the east coast. He has come to the conclusion that a total hysterectomy is the only (best) option. UNC Hospital is conducting a few studies he would like me to participate in to try to push off the hysto. I've known in my heart for years that the hysto was probably the only option and had become fairly commited to adoption. However, hearing this from the doc was definately hard. the first night I had a dream I had a newborn and was dealing with adjusting to breastfeeding. It really hit me hard and made me realize as comfortable with adoption as I am, there are things I can never experience.

This realization (plus the hormone therapy) has really effected me and I'm curious as to how others have dealt!

Any stories or advice would be appreciated!

I was diagnosed with endo a year ago. I had horrible pain on the left side. The pain went away for a year, but now is back in full force. I have been using pain killers or ibuprofen for the pain and it is still so bad that I break out in a cold sweat from it. I usually have pain for the first two days of my period and then heavy menstrual bleeding. But mow the pain is showing up daily instead of just the first two days of my period. I have been trying to get pregnant for a year with no luck. I got pregnant with my first two children very quickly. I don't know what to try now. I have been to an infertility specialist for a consult, but my insurance doesn't cover the treatment and it is VERY expensive. Does anyone have any advice about where to go from here? Would the lupron or hormone therapy help with the pain? with the infertility? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
