Dear Mary~

You are so young to be making such huge decisions. Please, I do not mean this in a condesending way. I know how hard this stuff is to handle even in my 40's and I had a total and complete hysterectomy in 2002.

I can only share with you what I know from my point of view. 1st of all Deena has posted some great links to Dr. Redwine. He is one of many people doing some wonderful things with this disease. deena@endometriosissurgeon.com http://www.endometriosissurgeon.com

Another link I would like to share is from a women Dr. Debbie Metzger who has a site with a lot of helpful information as well. While I am not here to sort out the two, I think the most important thing is to have some leads to insight to making these huge decisions.

There is also another site someone who is a wonderful person just sent me that had articles on teens with endo is:

I wish I could come there and sit with you and help sort a lot of these confusing issues out. The key to helping maintain this is ceasing the cycles before and after surgery until you wish to try to conceive. From your posts here it looks like you have gone through those steps. Have your cycles stayed ceased? Have you seen an Endo Specialist or a general OB/GYN? Do you have a family member who can help you as you walk through these issues too? We are here for you for sure but I think this has a lot of bigger decisions than maybe what you are thinking. This is permanent.

I can tell you that you are not crazy with these treatment meds. They do crazy and strange things to us all. It's so hard to maintain any sense of balance on them. They are linked to so many factors that are who we are daily.

I also have had a total and complete hysterectomy and for me (again this is just me) the problems are still there. Not so much endo as it is adhesions and scaring in so many hidden areas from previous surgeries.

I hope these sources will help. Again, I am not here to take sides on any of these issues, I just want to help you walk along with us and make the best decisions possible for you and your future...

Email me anytime @ epytka@sbcglobal.net that you want and I will always write you back. I promise. Hang in there! It's ok..to feel this way..that is what this goofy disease is all about.

Thinking of you....

Elisa
