I can completely relate to you because my husband is Army. Last year I went in complaining of irregular periods and pelvic pain and couldnt loose weight. My youngest was a year old at that time. They blamed it on just having a baby. They did run some blood work on my thyroid and did some STD check yes they said it out loud as if I cheated on my husband.... All in all nothing came of it of course you realize these people that we see are NOT Drs they are Physician Assistants. You need them to refer you to an ob/gyn specialist. They dont know everything as I am learning the hard way. My Dr got deployed and I was sent off base along with I think 5000 other family members. BEST thing that ever happened to me. Right away they figured out that I had endometrosis and no he thinks I have the adenomyosis since Im still in severe pain after laproscopy surgery. You need to put in a complaint about this DR to the hospital I cant remember exactly who it is you call but I could find out if you need me to. I had a bad experience when I went into the ER on base I was in so much pain this was right before I found out I had endometriosis. The Dr was irrogant and I thought since I was in so much pain they should have done an ultrasound or something and he says to me is this something that seems urgent it isnt u need to follow up with your DR. I was so outraged I put in a complaint about him. Anyhow, now that it seems that I have my thoughts scattered. My Dr on base is supposed to be coming home soon so I will have to go back to him Im not happy about it at all. But I am going to try to get him to refer me back out to this one Im already seeing. Once you get to your new duty station if you dont like your DR you can go to Tricare and request a different Dr. If the Drs are being the same as this other go and complain about them. I have realized that some of these military Drs dont do what they should meaning refer us out to specialist. I get so frustrated and always thought I didnt have options but I am going to become Tricares worst nightmare when I have to start dealing with military PAs again. Sorry if this turned into a rant I hope that you realize your not the only one out there dealing with crappy military hospitals. Jennifer
