Pain has returned

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I posted on this forum. Basically because up until a few weeks ago, I had been feeling great! It's been 14 months since my surgery with Dr. John Dulemba in Denton Texas. I had a speedy recovery, a decent 6 month treatment with Lupron with minimal side effects, and continuous birth control pills for the next 6 months. BUT.. my first menstral cycle came a few weeks ago. Ever since that day when I first started - it's been a nightmare! I have the same feelings I did before. Severe pains in my lower abdomen. Pain AFTER urinating (like needles through my bladder).. stretchy pain when I stand up or take a deep breath in my lower abdomen. And a constant pain.. kinda feels like gas pains.. all throughout my abdomen - upper and lower.

I am happy that I went a year with no pain. But.. the thought of a 3rd surgery is just not what I had in mind. I know that some of you have been through multiple surgeries..and I'd just like to get some imput from those who have. How do we deal with this one "constant" in our lives? How long before enough is enough? I think at this point I would rather the doctor remove everything. I know it's not a cure - because it does come back, but so many articles say it's less likely to come back with the same intensity as when you still have your uterus and ovaries. I'm 32 years old, and I do not plan to have any children. I spoil my niece and nephew enough!!

I am ready to cry - which usually i'm a very strong person. I was really hoping to go another 5 years without having problems again - like I did between my 1st and 2nd surgeries.

OH well. When life throws us a curveball.. we just have to swing hard and aim for the fence!

God Bless each and every one of you.
