Barbara,
It really depend on your insurance. I am scheduled for surgery next
week with the CEC (Dr S.) and because my insurance considere this
surgery to be out of network, AND because my plan says when out of
network I will pay $400.00 deductible, and then 10% of the surgery with
a max of 3000.00 out of pocket , then MY max (not yours or anyone
else...) will be total max 3400.00 out of pocket. These prices are
"imposed" by my insurance itself... I will pay half at the surgery and
half when the bill comes in. The Drs fees are included. So the CEC
does work with your insurance in any case before the surgery is even
scheduled. Just include your card info (copy of it) with your med
records for evaluation. I do not know if Dr A does the same thing, but
I do believe so.
Hope this will help,
M
