Hi Jen~
Sorry the visit was a disapointment. Before I got really sick again I
worked for a Naturopathic Dr. His fees were close to this and I thought
how hard it is for others to pay without insurance. From what I have
heard most insurance companies will not pay for it.
My husband and I talked about this option the other day because I have
to get off all meds now with my pain clinic because my colon is not
functioning at all. I am not looking forward to that...so I must get
back to the original pain for the Dr.s to do surgery as the colon pain
is making it worse.
They talked about accupuncture with my husband and I. My husband says
it would be worth it only if we didn't have the on going cost of the
meds..because that is adding up to that each month as well. So I
think..hmmm..that may be a new way to look at it.
The luck I had in the past was I was able to get treated for free at the
clinic since I worked there and it helped every other ache and pain but
couldn't do much for me in that right sided pelvic pain. If we go this
route I will have to check the different types of accupuncture I guess.
So maybe if you reconsider this...can you keep me posted to see if it
works on your pain? That would help me out if anyone else has truly had
a success rate with this and how much approx. is it costing per month.
Thanks again everyone for your help. Jen...hang in there..I wish I had
some good answers for you too. Is your message covered under physical
therapy? I know what you mean about this pain..it always reminds us it's
there just waiting for a big flare up. You are so right...we won't let
it win :)
Thanks for the info...
