Anyone ever heard of, or had a presacral neurectomy?

Hi everyone, I am new to the forums. I've been suffering from endo probably since I was 13, but I had my first surgery at age 20 to diagnose it, and I am 27 now. Since the first surgery I've had 3 others to cauterize the endo and to remove 2 cysts.

So, apparently a presacral neurectomy is a procedure to lessen the pain of endometriosis when other procedures (laparoscopies) have failed to prevent it from coming back, and when you are not quite ready to have a full-blown hysterectomy (I would like to try to have kids in a couple years, although now it is looking like we should try sooner than later). I am tired of the pain, but also tired of having surgery (this would be my fifth one for endo). I've already been on Lupron twice, and I cannot be on it again because of the risk for osteoporosis, and I cannot be on the Pill (at least one with estrogen) continuously because of severe migraines. Good times, and I am sure you can all relate!

Anyway, does anyone know anything about this procedure? I have a consultation sometime in the next couple of weeks to learn more about the procedure with a surgeon, but thought I'd try to research it a bit first.

Thanks in advance!

Emma
