Re: Different StagesFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 31 13:03:00 2006
Here is a site to check out I have found recently. It is an acupuncture website but it is the easiest to understand and pretty good compared to the others I have read. http://www.acufinder.com Click on resource center and then on the womens health issues link. Click on the treatment to endometriosis and fribroid tumor headline. Down in the article is gives the stages below and explains endo pretty good. It also tells people about what Acupuncture can do for endo. Not that anyone who reads this needs to try it. I am going to my first acupuncture appt tomorrow. I will let you all know how it helps. I get migraines from the BCP's. I have pain from my adhesions, but I don't plan on having another lap until I need it. I also have other back, neck and knee pain. He should be able to treat all of it. Not to mention the severe stress that is causing it all. But this link is the best I have found recently that explains endo to a T and it isn't in a bunch of medical jargon. Your Dr will be able to tell you what stage of endo you are in after you have a lap. There is no way to otherwise diagnois what stage or if you have endo without a lap. They can do CT scans or MRI's or even ultra sounds outside and internally but the lap with the camera is the only real acurate way to see it all. That is what I heard from my specialist the last surgery I had. Jen
