Hi Miserable:

I am living here in the Chi-town area too. I hope I can help you in some way here. I have stage IV endo and have it in my urinary tract areas since 1993. It started to wreak havoc with the infections like you had along with the bowel and colon areas. Finally in 1994 I had an endo specialist in Atlanta look and my right ureter was attached to my pelvic side wall. I am not speculating that is happening but something is linked here with the endo and the flare ups.

I used to get the flu like symptoms a week before my period was to start. I also had IBS and tons of yeast and urinary tract infections. I would have vomiting with nausea and doubled over with such gut wrenching pain. It turned out according to the Dr.'s that my endo was cycling as well and it was filling up (chocolate cysts) and getting ready to rupture and create a bigger mess each month. So when it got inflammed, I got colicky as well. I was also proned to kidney stones which I never had before. They were the uric acid stones that don't show up on x-ray but hurt like $^##%%%&&&!!! :)

You are more than welcome to write me individually if you want to share about the Dr.'s used. Does your Dr. have the ablility to check in the bladder, ureter? It's also very common for us to get retroperitoneal fibrosis which the endo grows right behind the peritoneaum.

Sorry you have gone through all these hormones and nothing is working. The one battle to also watch out for with the urinary tract problems is the catch 22 of the antibiotics they have to give you to treat it. Over long term use it can affect the good bacteria in your body and you can get colds etc..easier and most importantly your abilities to digest food can get harder. I always supplement my diet with a pure Pro Biotic. I use liquid or capsules of Acidophilus to put back into my body daily. I hit a patch of not using this for a year and ooooohhhhh....my colon stopped digesting food and it got impacted in there and could have almost caused a perferation.(again this is just me, but this could help with the antibiotics for you).

I hope to hear from you. Hang in there. I am here for you.
