TO ANON _ Re: ad this if you are considering chemical or surgical castration (ie Lupron or Hyst)From: anonymous@obgyn.netWed Aug 30 08:30:24 2006
I hope I don't get flamed for this but this is really bothering me...and I mean this with only good intentions so here goes nothing... Lupron is NOT a method of chemical castration...it is a temporary chemically induced mennopause which is absolutely not anywhere near to being a castration. Please get your facts and words straight before posting. The last thing we need is women on Lupron freaking out after reading that they might be in the process of a "chemical castration". Also, Lupron has never once claimed to get rid of endo 100%...all they claim is that while on the drug, and for hopefully many months after, it will provide relief as it diminishes estrogen (hence the chemically induced mennopause) in the body. I love this forum, but it really bothers me when I see posts like this. The article is legit, but your intro needs A LOT of work. Alexis.
