Re: just diagnosed - recommended treatments?From: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Aug 28 22:52:49 2006
Amy, If you want to discuss Lupron or other treatments, feel free to email me at alexisconrad@gmail.com. I have been on Lupron, as well as several other medications and would be able to answer your questions. For now, I'll just say that continuous BCP and Lupron work differently. The lupron rids your body of estrogen while on it, which can be very beneficial as endo feeds on estrogen. There are many people who are dead set against the treatment, but there are many of us who have had great success. On the other hand, BCP adds estrogen, but when taken continuously help you skip periods, thus reducing pain, but not actually doing anything to help with the endo. Talk soon, Alexis.
