Gina,
I believe this family member was referring to an "Operative Hystoscopy"
and that can indeed be done in a doctor's office. It is a scope that is
inserted vaginally and certain operative procedures can be done through
it with little or no anesthetic or pain killer. There are no incisions
involved in a hysteroscopy.
Adhesions are a form of scar tissue that forms post-surgically. Each
time you have surgery you risk forming more. There are steps and
preparations that can be used to decrease the risk of adhesion formation
but there are no products that offer a 100% guarantee.
