Re: ADVICE NEEDED: should I stop taking birth control pills?

I am sorry that you are having to go through all of this! It is very upsetting I know, but it is wonderful that you have an understanding partner. I have not been on the medication that you have been on. I was on birth control pills to help regulate me (which did not work), and then of course pain medication to help deal with the pain. Of course the surgeries, but bottom line your endometriosis does not go away. Everytime you have a period the cysts burst and spread in your body. The laproscopy is basically a temporary fix. As far as pain during intercourse, it is very frustrating. I would take a pain pill to relax me and help, and you just find a way that you both can enjoy.

As far as pain goes before and after your period, you will have that. I know that this does not sound so encouraging, but you are not alone in this. You just have to research, and try different things, and doctors. There are so much helpful advice, websites, and discussions here as well. We are all here for you!! But you must not dwell on this, you must try to keep your chin up, and always look at the good things in life. I hope this helps a little.

God Bless, Lorilee
