Re: Laproscopy for endometriosis and side effects afterwardsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue Aug 22 04:00:54 2006
I was told my pain in my shoulder, back, and ribs was from the gas they pumped into my body to look around with the laproscope. I had surgery July 20th and I am just starting to feel somewhat normal. I had a csection like incision after the laproscope was inserted and my cysts burst. I got to drive for the first time today. I am getting out some although 2 hours is my limit and then I have to come home and prop my feet up and rest. It just wears me out. Taking a shower wears me out. I understand exactly where you are coming from! I hear the major incision is harder than recovering from a csection b/c of all the cutting and scrping they have to do and everything moving back into place. My left ovary was squished flat and pressed against the back of my uterus from the 2 large cysts on my right ovary. Weird. Anywho, expect to rest, rest, rest. Since you only had lap your recovery should be 3 weeks but maybe a little longer if you had a lot of endo. Feel better soon! ~Mollie :)
