Re: Please someone respond To LeahFrom: anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Aug 21 18:16:34 2006
hi, i am sorry for your pain. i have endo for many years and my pains are usually barable but i had to go the emergency room two weeks and took codeine for 3. i can understand at least now how it can get. i know that if you take too much pain killers your body will get use to it and nothing will help. sometimes when i have really bad pain i take about 3-4 aleve's and it helps. but don't take more. i usually do this once a day and wait 24 hours. it's close to being a prescription dose but you can't take it for too long because i heard it can cause heart problems. you can also drink some calming teas. it does not always help but sometimes it does. like peppermint, chamomile and there are others out there. maybe buy progesterone cream. i heard it helps normalize hormones and the pain will be lighter.
