Hi. I had surgery several years ago and it took me about 2 months to feel normal. My doctor explained that the surgery is pretty rough on your insides. Everything gets moved around and, depending on how extensive your adhesions are, worked on. All those organs have to move back into their assigned spaces and heal. The shoulder and back pain went away after week or so.
