Re: URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS??? TO EVERYONE!!!

I had a UTI a few months ago and the culture came back negative, though I tesed positive for streptococcus-B. Apparently a percentage of women carry this in their systems, and I assume I picked it up in laparoscopic surgery I had for endo a year ago since I had never ever had a UTI before. I also had lupron, but I think the surgery might be to blame here. The "infection" was really painful, and ever since I have had this feeling like my bladder just isn't right. I often get the urge to pee but can't pee much, or it starts and stops and feel like perhaps my nerves have been damaged by surgery.

Anyone else feel this way?

At any rate, yes, the urinalysis results came back positive for infection, but then I got a call a few days later saying I didn't have an infection, though I did have Strep-B (which the nurse didn't think needed antibiotics because it would just come back. Apparently it can cause complications in pregnancy, so I'll have to have antibiotics when delivering). It didn't make very much sense to me. What had caused my pain and burning?

As with a lot of things in the past few years, I have no good answer.
