I JUST WANT TO BE REALISTIC. sorry to say but we were unsuccessful after trying for almost 10 years. i have mild endometriosis, but i saw a new fertility specialist (i think he's the 4th one we've seen) who diagnosed a uterine infection though and said that is probably why we never conceived. so who knows? there's a chance now that it's been treated that we might possibly be successful. however, this dr told me today that i'm not a candidate for ivf. don't really understand why. but i'm glad he's being honest and not charging me 10,000 bucks when he doesn't think it will work. *however* lots of women with endometriosis get pregnant on their own. it can happen. use ovulation predictor kits, make sure your partner's semen checks out okay (dr's will do a test for about 60 bucks, and it's worth it to have it done early on in the journey). you might be happily surprised very soon that you're pregnant. it can take couples with no reproductive problems up to 12 months to get pregnant. sometimes up to 24 months. since you have endometriosis, it wouldn't hurt to see your dr after 6 months of trying. wishing you the very best of luck. ~holly
