My doctor is putting me on depo lupron for the 2nd time. I was just talking to her yesterday and she said depending on the insurance company, you may have to pick the drug up at the pharmacy and take it to the dr. office or they may send it directly to the dr. office but regardless, you get the shot AT THE DR. OFFICE.

I'm not sure about insurance coverage. I asked my dr. if there is ever a problem with insurance and she said hardly ever because it is used as pain control. Make sure you dr. is documenting it as pain control and not fertility treatment.
