When I had my lap done I had to stay overnight because i had an alergic reation to morphine. They gave me a week off. I actually went back a couple days early because I wanted to cover the Portland Rose Festival (I'm a journalist). I was ok working but my uniform is kinds tight around the waist so i wore regular close for most of the next week. by two week I was fine. You should be able to go back to work within a week but it all really depends on how you feel and what your doctor says.

Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.
