Rosey, Welcome! I know it can be very overwhealming to jump on this board and see what we are all going through when you have only just learned of this disease. We all have our individual struggles and share as much as possible hoping someone else here can relate and provide some advice we can't find anywhere else. It is an excellent tool, but don't be frightened our experiences all range from somewhat mild to extreme. If you do have endo it doesn't mean that you are going to go through all the horrors some of us do, but if for some reason you do...there is always someone here to help. That said...I am a tad concerned that while your doctor recognized the possibility that you have endo, she did not follow up beyond an ibuprofen script. It may be a good idea to seek a second opinion. If you do have endo, it is important to get it diagnosed so that you can begin to make some decisions about how you want to treat it. I know there are some women on this board from new zealand. YOu may want to post a question to them about finding a doctor experienced with endo and see if anyone is in your area. As far as the heart palpitations are concerned I have experienced them ever since I was diagnosed. I have been through the ringer of tests, x rays, monitors, EKGs, etc. to no avail. I am becoming convinced that it is a hormone issue. Check out this web site: http://www.morehead.org/wellconnected/000074.htm I think it is really good at explaining the disease and some of the treatment options. Also, do a search for "endo victims" or "endo docs" it should bring up the Endo Victims web site where there is a patient recommended doctor list and links for international doctor location services. Good luck to you! Alyson
