After my doctor called my insurance company personally they paid for it but as far as administering the shot yourself... The pharmacy told me it could be done at home. It's given to patients with prostate cancer and they tend to just give themselves the shot I guess. My pharmacist was going to show me how to do it but I just decided to take it to my doctor every month and have one of the nurses do it. I didn't feel comfortable having a family member give me a shot that big anyway.
