Sharon Ann,
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I have also had a hysterectomy
and am looking at me second laparotomy since the hyst. I think doctors
are finally (well, at least the ones who stay current) realizing that
they should not recommend a hyst for endo. It just doesn't do any good,
just adds one more surgery to our already long list.
I know you said you don't want to be dependant on pain meds, but you
might want to reconsider if you want some happiness. Granted, I'm on
pain meds and am not happy all the time, or even half the time lately ;)
but without them where would I be? I would have NO life what so ever.
Please remember, pain medication is there for people like us who need
it. Don't let anyone else's opinion of medicine interfere with your own
life and enjoyment of it.
