Re: Alexis~ Any other endo ladies feeling like they live on pepto bismol?

I grew up living on Pepto. I even had ulcers during junior high and my doctor had me take Mylanta every two hours for a few weeks and it kept me from throwing up every morning. So that can be a quick fix ... but I found that changing my diet to help my endo has practically rid me of stomach pain.

After reading all about natural remedies and nutrional methods for treating endo I've taken pepto only once. As long as I stick to my diet I feel great. I cut out all meat, dairy, and wheat. I notice that if I cheat a lil and have some bread or cheese my stomach will start to bother me a lil. Yet, if I eat right and take all my vitamins I feel great.

So it might not be directly related to endo, but our diet can really effect our entire body and it can help us is so many ways... at least thats what I've begun to learn. Just like Kyla said it may help you to see a naturopath, or nutritionist, or just follow some of the suggestions you can find in books and online for diet and endo treatment.

I hope that helps and I hope you start to feel better soon!!!
