Re: does anyone have leg and arm pain/tingling/numbness?From: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jul 2 20:07:51 2006
Maureen, I have long had problems with tingling in my left arm and leg. It is not necessarily painful though. I have significant sciatic pain on both sides shooting down my legs and up my back. It has become quite painful to sit for long, stand for long, even walk for long. Kinda leaves no choice but to lay down! I have also been steadily losing my hair for over a year now. My doctor found an orange sized endo implant in my right hip. So, I've just attributed the pain to that. My hair used to be extremely thick, although fine. You can look through the hair at the front of my scalp and see my scalp two inches back (if that makes any sense). I've noticed some new hair growth, but nothing significant enough to replace what I am losing. I've read that hair loss can be indicative of a health problem or can be caused by hormone imbalances ( which is not surprising given our condition). I was also plagued by a "mystery rash" for almost a year. I began to get very concerned and went to an immunologist. He tested me for lupus (which thank goodness was not the culprit). Maybe someone like that would be a next good step to try to figure out what is going on. Or maybe even an enocrinologist? I think alot of things can be attributed to endo, but the nature of the disease means that we commonly have other ailments along with it. I wish you luck in determining what is happening. Please let us know if you come up with something! Feel better soon, Alyson
